In questa puntata di Bookclub & Cappuccino vi parlo di: Dove porta la neve, un romanzo breve, dolce, invernale e natalizio, perfetto per chi studia italiano.

Carlo, un uomo con la sindrome di Down, vive il suo Natale più delicato, mentre una nevicata eccezionale avvolge Padova e dà inizio a un viaggio inatteso con Nicola, un ex Babbo Natale solitario e un po’ malinconico.
Nel cuore di questo episodio troviamo una pagina poetica dedicata alla neve, narrata dalla madre di Carlo, Nora.
Ecco il passo completo che leggiamo durante la puntata:
«La amavo. Quando avevo tre o forse quattro anni, mia madre mi insegnò che la neve non era tutta uguale. Per noi, lassù, c’erano tanti modi per chiamare la neve. C’era la nevèra, una nevicata grande e copiosa; c’era la ziiena, la neve asciutta e farinosa; c’era la mola, la neve bagnata e pesante dell’autunno.
E poi la briia, leggera; il yonfédo, nevischio con vento; la buria, la neve burrascosa di aprile, rapida a venire e altrettanto rapida a sciogliersi; la balinà a pallini gelati; e infine quella che a me piaceva di più: la nef a paneiéi, la nevicata delle fiabe, con fiocchi così larghi che sembrano piume d’oca.»

Questa pagina è una porta d’ingresso nel mondo ladino e nel legame profondo tra la montagna e la neve.
È anche un’occasione perfetta per imparare nuovo lessico e scoprire un’Italia meno conosciuta: il Trentino, le Dolomiti, le comunità alpine.

Nevicare – “Oggi nevica forte.”
Imbiancare – diventare bianco coperto di neve: “La città si è imbiancata.”
Attaccare (la neve) – quando la neve non rimane sul suolo: “La neve non attacca.”
Sciogliersi – diventare acqua: “La neve si sta sciogliendo.”

Soffice – morbida
Leggera – cade piano piano
Farinosa – come farina
Pesante – bagnata, difficile da spalare
Burrascosa – con vento, molto forte
Fitta – cade in grande quantità
Sottile – cade poco, in modo delicato
Gelata – dura, ghiacciata
Candida – bianca, pura
Bianca come la neve – “molto bianca”
