Il tempo metereologico | The weather 

The structure “快要/快/就要/要……了” indicates that something is going to happen. 
For example:
yào xià yǔ le 。 
要下雨了。It's going to rain.

huǒ chē jiù yào lái le 。 
火车就要来了。The train is coming.

diàn yǐnɡ kuài kāi shǐ le 。 
电影快开始了。The movie is about to begin.

wǒ de shēnɡ rì kuài yào dào le 。 
我的生日快要到了。My birthday is coming up.

If there is an adverbial of time in the sentence, then only“就要.....了”can be used. 
For example: 
mínɡ tiān zú qiú bǐ sài jiù yào kāi shǐ le 。 
明天足球比赛就要开始了。The football match will start tomorrow.

xià ɡè xīnɡ qī wǒ men jiù yào kǎo shì le 。 
下个星期我们就要考试了。We're going to have an exam next week.

mínɡ nián dà wèi jiù yào huí měi ɡuó le 。 
明年大卫就要回美国了。David will go back to America next year.

みなさんはドイツの９ユーロチケットを知っていますか？
これは、９ユーロで１ヶ月間ドイツ国内のバスや電車などの公共交通機関が乗り放題になるチケットです。今、ガソリン代が高くなっているので、ドイツ政府が車に乗らなくても人々が移動できるように始めました。6月から8月まで利用することができます。

私は先週このチケットを使ってデュッセルドルフに行って来ました。私の家からデュッセルドルフまでは片道4時間ほど掛かります。通常なら往復で50ユーロ以上掛かると思いますが、このチケットのおかげで、たった９ユーロで往復することができました。ちなみにこのチケットでは新幹線のような高速列車を利用することはできません。

ところで、みなさんは「乗り放題」の意味が分かりますか？「乗り放題」の意味は決められた金額を払えば、何回でも乗ることができるという意味です。つまり、１ヶ月乗り放題のチケットは９ユーロ払えば、１ヶ月何回でも乗ることができるチケットです。
みなさんは「食べ放題」に行ったことがありますか？これは食べたいだけ食べることができるという意味です。居酒屋やファミリーレストランには「飲み放題」のメニューがあります。これは飲みたいだけ飲むことができるという意味です。

ちなみに、「やりたい放題」という言葉もありますが、これは「他人のことを気にせずに自分のやりたいようにやっている」という意味です。「あなたはいつもやりたい放題だね」と言われたら、それは「あなたがわがままだ」という意味です。

みなさんは乗り放題や食べ放題、飲み放題などを利用したことがありますか？

今日はふたつの「いがい」についてお話しします。
「この映画は意外に面白かった」
みなさんはこの「意外」の意味がわかりますか？
この「意外」は「想像していたことと違う」時に使います。つまり面白くないと思っていた映画が実は面白かったという意味です。

次の文はもう一つの「以外」を使った文です。
「私は仕事以外のことには興味がない」この文の意味はわかりますか？「私は仕事にだけ興味がある。他のことには興味がない。」ということです。
また、「私は日本語以外話せません」と言うと、「私は日本語だけ話せます。他の言語は話せません。」という意味です。

最後に、最近起こった意外だったエピソードをお話します。どちらの意味か考えて聞いてください。

私は先日ギリシャに旅行に行きました。ドイツの田舎にある小さな空港からのフライトだったので、小さな飛行機を使うのかなと思っていたら、意外に大きな飛行機だったのでびっくりしました。

このふたつの「いがい」はどちらもよく使うので正確に使えるようになるまで練習しましょう！

つまり：to sum up
興味がある：きょうみがある　I’m interested in

いがい-Today’s Word 

Nordic countries are often said to be some of the happiest in the world — and they may be some of the most sustainable places to visit too.

If you're not sure what it means to travel sustainably, the Global Destination Sustainability (GDS) Index may be able to help.

Now in its ninth year, it ranks places across the world based on things like destination management and environmental performance.

One hundred destinations were included in the 2024 index, with Helsinki in first place.

More than 50% of the Finnish capital's electricity is renewable, more than 30% of its buses are electric, and 49% of its waste is recycled.

Helsinki has also set a goal of being carbon neutral by 2030, and there are lots of green spaces around the city — almost 10,000 hectares per 100,000 people, according to Condé Nast Traveler.

Helsinki has previously ranked well in the GDS index, coming in fourth place in 2023, although this is the first time it's taken the top spot.

"Being named the world's most sustainable travel destination is proof of the long-term work that has been done in Helsinki," Helsinki Mayor Juhana Vartiainen said.

The other cities in the GDS' top five for 2024 are also in Nordic countries, with Gothenburg in second place. The city, which is in the west of Sweden, ranked first in 2023.

Copenhagen, Denmark, ranked third, Norway's Bergen came in fourth, and another Danish city, Arthus, was in fifth place.

Most of the top 20 cities were in Europe, too, with the exception of Singapore in seventh place, Sydney, Australia, in 10th place, and Goyang, South Korea, in 16th place.
