I was reading this book earlier today and I learned a few things that I would like to share with you guys. We all know that in recent years, many people experienced tough financial times and so many had to loan from the bank or other people. Many people also became heavily dependent in using credit cards. In this podcast, I will share some tips on how to pay off debt.

Ana: Lo sé. Pero parece que esa foto fue solo para disimular.

Lucía: ¿Y tú cómo te enteraste?

Ana: Ayer me encontré a Laura en el supermercado y me lo contó todo.

Lucía: ¡Ay, no! ¿Y qué pasó? ¿Quién terminó con quién?

Ana: Parece que fue Daniel. Le dijo que necesitaba "espacio".

Lucía: Uy… eso de "necesito espacio" siempre significa otra cosa.

Ana: ¡Exacto! Y lo peor es que, según Laura, Daniel ya anda saliendo con alguien más.

Lucía: ¡¿En serio?! ¿Quién? ¿Alguien que conozcamos?

Ana: Sí… con Carolina, la del gimnasio.

Lucía: ¡No puede ser! ¿La misma Carolina que decía que Daniel "solo era un amigo"?

Ana: ¡Esa misma! Y al parecer, llevan semanas viéndose a escondidas.

Lucía: ¡Guau! Pobrecita Laura… debe estar destrozada.

Ana: Sí, me dijo que está triste, pero también aliviada. Dice que ya sospechaba algo.

Lucía: Ay, amiga, qué fuerte. El mundo es pequeño y las mentiras siempre se descubren.

Ana: Tal cual. Ahora solo falta ver cuánto les dura esa relación a Daniel y Carolina.

Lucía: ¡Uy, eso sí va a ser otro chisme para contar!

こんにちは。今日は8月12日月曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」Podcastへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、「学ぶ（まなぶ）」と「習う（ならう）」の違いについてお話しします。

まず、「学ぶ」について説明します。「学ぶ」は、自分から進んで知識や技術を得ることを意味します。例えば、「この本から多くのことを学びます。」という文を作ることができます。この「学ぶ」という言葉は、幅広い意味を持ちます。例えば、経験から学ぶことも含まれます。「学ぶ」は、昔の言葉「まねぶ」から来ており、これは「真似をする」という意味があります。

次に、「習う」についてです。「習う」は、誰かから教えてもらうことを意味します。例えば、「ピアノを習う。」という文を作ることができます。「習う」とは、「慣れる」という意味があります。先生やコーチから教えてもらう時に使います。

ここで、少し考えてみましょう。「ピアノを学ぶ」と「ピアノを習う」。どちらも日本語としては正しいです。でも、どう違うのでしょうか？

「ピアノを学ぶ」という文は、自分から進んでピアノを勉強することに注目しています。たとえば、本やYouTubeを見ながら、Podcastを聞きながら、自分で勉強することを指します。

一方、「ピアノを習う」という文は、誰かから教えてもらうという意味です。たとえば、ピアノの先生から教わったり、お母さんに教わったりすることを指します。

それではみなさん、今日のこのPodcastの題名『🌸44:「学ぶ」と「習う」の違いを学ぼう！」の「学ぼう」の使い方はもうわかりましたね。みなさんは、自分から進んでこのPodcastを聞いて勉強をしているので、「学ぼう！」になります。「習おう！」ではありません。

初めに説明した通り、「学ぶ」は「真似をする」という意味から来ています。このPodcastをたくさん聞いて、私の真似をたくさんしてください。そして、たくさん学んでください。毎日続けていけば、必ず上手になります。頑張ってください！

ここで、皆さんに問題です。「習う」の使い方として正しい文はどれですか？

More than half of US adults work while they're on vacation, according to a new survey.

A public relations company called Movchan Agency found that 54% of Americans sometimes or always work while they're on holiday.

There's a name for taking a trip and bringing your work with you: a "workcation."

This is usually something a worker plans, letting them get a break from the office without using up paid days off.

But according to the survey, some people have no choice — their work follows them even when they want to take a break.

So while 34% of people said they work on vacation because they love what they do, 29% do it because they're afraid of losing their job.

And about a quarter of people said their boss even asks them to work when they're on holiday.

Almost half of the people surveyed said they feel guilty if they're not working during their vacation.

The report says its results show that workplace boundaries have been broken, and burnout is on the horizon.

Many people are already feeling burned out by work. Others admitted to arguing with a partner during their holiday because of the work they're doing on vacation, while almost half have canceled an activity on their trip for work reasons.

Business psychologist Roger Hall told Fox Business that we need to use holiday time to rest our minds.

He said: "The human brain needs time for rest and quiet in order to repair itself."

He added that because many of us can work from anywhere, we don't get that rest.
