Happy New Year! 🎍 A new year has begun. Have you decided on your "New Year's Resolutions" yet?

In this episode, I talk about my two main goals for the year:

Podcast Consistency: I aim to create and upload episodes twice a week, more than I did last year. Let me know what topics you'd like to hear about!

Swimming: I’ve started going to a local sports center twice a week. Currently, I can swim about 15 meters using the breaststroke, but my goal is to reach 50 meters! 🏊‍♂️

Swimming is great for health and fitness. I’d love to hear your resolutions too—please share them in the comments!

We might call it telephone English! We talk about how to clarify information, how to ask someone to wait, how to transfer a call, and more. At the end of the podcast we'll have a quiz to check your understanding and find out how much of the new vocabulary and ideas you can remember.

こんにちは！
Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

さて、今日の話は大変な話です。悲惨な話です。

みなさんは、スマートフォンなど落として画面が割れたことはありますか？

ぼくはiPhoneを使っていますが、落として画面が割れたことはありません。もちろん何回かは落としてますけど。

でも今回、とても大変なことがありました。残念なことです。大惨事だいさんじ、とも言います。

実は、ぼくの大切なiPadを落としてしまいました。そして画面のガラスが割れ、画面全体がバキバキに割れてしまいました。バキバキはたくさんヒビが入っている、というような意味です。

これははじめてのことでした。北海道の空港で日本語のレッスンをしようと思って、テーブルの端はしの方に置いたんですが、そのまま後ろに落ちてしまいました。

幸い、良かったことには、ガラス面はバッキバキだったんですが、液晶えきしょうは大丈夫でした。

ですので、実は画面がバキバキのまま、3つ、日本語のレッスンをしました。

それで、大阪に行く予定があったので、大阪の修理してもらえる店、リペアショップを探して、予約して、持っていきました。

その日はそこにiPadをあずけて帰りました。
そして、今日、修理が完了しました。受け取ってきました！
無事にガラス面がもとに戻っていました。若干、ちょっと、気になる部分はあります。でも買い替えないといけないかもしれないと思っていたので、とても満足しました。

3日ぐらいで修理が完了しました。
金額も¥13,000ぐらいだったので、予想よりも安く済みました。本当に助かりました。今までも気をつけていたんですが、これからはもっと気をつけようと思いました！
