zhānɡ xiān shēnɡ shì yí ɡè hěn bù xì xīn、hěn mǎ hu de rén。 
张先生是一个很不细心、很马虎的人。
tā chánɡ chánɡ xiě cuò zì，
他常常写错字，
tā yě chánɡ chánɡ rèn cuò rén， 
他也常常认错人，
suǒ yǐ dà jiā dōu jiào tā“mǎ hu xiān shēnɡ。” 
所以大家都叫他“马虎先生。”

有一天，张先生在路上看见一个朋友，
