يَجِب على الإِنْسَان إِدْرَاك أنه مِنَ المُسْتَحِيل تَحْقِيق السَعَادَة الكَامِلَة فِي هَذِه الحَيَاة. ومَن ظَنَّ أن السَعَادَة تَكْمُن فِي شَرِيك أو وَظِيفَةٍ مُعَيَنَة فَإِنَّه مُخْطِئ.
السَعَادَة الحَقِيقِيَة هِيَ طَمَأنِينَة وسَلَام دَاخِلِي رُغم كُل الظُرُوف المُحِيطَة بِك. والإنْسَان السَعِيد يُدْرِك جَيدًا أن أي حُزْن فِي هَذِه الحَيَاة مُؤَقَت وأي سَعَادَة أَيضًا مُؤَقَتَة.
القَنَاعَة كَنْزٌ لَا يَفْنَى والإِنْسَان السَعِيد يَكُون قَنُوعًا بِمَا يَمْتَلِك ويُحَاوُل جَاهِدًا أَن لا يُفَكِّر بِإِمْتِلَاك مَاعِندَ الغَير.
