みなさんー！お元気ですか？私は元気ですよ～！今日は「プレゼント選び」についてお話ししたいと思います。

サウジアラビアに来てから、プレゼントを買う機会が格段に増えました。
主に息子や息子のいとこたちのためのプレゼントです。
サウジアラビアでは、年に二回イードという日本で言うお正月みたいなお祝いのお休みがあります。イードのときには、子供たちにお金やプレゼントをあげます。
私と夫は今のところイードの時は毎年お金は渡さず、おもちゃとお菓子をプレゼントしています。確かにお金だと選ぶ必要がないので楽なのですが、やはり小さい子供はおもちゃやお菓子をあげた方が喜びますね！
今回、イードは４月中旬とちょうど先週ありました。今年は息子のいとこたちにあげるおもちゃを選ぶのは少し大変でした。去年二回のイードと彼女たちの誕生日プレゼントで、三回おもちゃを渡していて、すでに持っていなさそうなおもちゃを選びたかったからです。去年はあまりじっくり考える時間がなかったのですが、今年は早めにリサーチして、ちょっとずつおもちゃを買いました。バブルガンやルームプロジェクターなどをプレゼントしました。みんなの喜ぶ顔を見ると嬉しいですね。
また、7月に息子の6歳の誕生日があるので、誕生日プレゼントも探していました。息子は毎月2,3個はおもちゃをもらったり、買ったりしていたので、こちらも悩みました。いろいろ考えた末、息子が最近ハマっている忍者コスチュームや百科事典、カメラ、ボードゲームをあげることにしました。買いすぎましたね。今は学校に行っていなくて暇なので、「早めの誕生日プレゼント1、2」とか言って、少しずつプレゼントしています。今日、忍者コスプレセットが届いて早速渡したところ、大喜びでした。誕生日にメインのプレゼントを渡すのが楽しみです！

今日もジョージアでPodcastを録っています。

今回は日本のニュース、ドラゴンボールの作者、鳥山明さんが亡くなりました、ということについて話します。

ニュースの内容を読みます。
これは、NHKのニュースです。

「DRAGON BALL」や「Dr.スランプ」など、魅力的なキャラクターが登場する世界的な人気作品を次々に生み出した漫画家の鳥山明さんが今月1日、亡くなりました。68歳でした。

僕は小学生から中学生までドラゴンボールを読んでいました。

特に小学生の時は大好きでした。
学校のマンガコンクール、というのがありました。
ぼくは5年と6年の時に、それに応募しました。

その時に描いた絵はドラゴンボールの絵でした。
そして、何か賞をもらったと思います。

もともとマンガのような絵を描くのは好きでしたが、その賞をもらったことで、もっと好きになったと思います。

今は絵を描いていません。
このことを思い出したので、何か絵を描こうかなと思いました。


ドラゴンボールで好きな戦いは、
悟空対ベジータ
ですね。

当時はこの戦いでドラゴンボールが終わるかも⁈とドキドキしながら読んだことを覚えています。


それから、今回のニュースで驚いたことは、
中国政府が公式のコメントがあったことや、
アメリカNBAの選手がドラゴンボールの絵が描いてあるシューズを履いていたこと、
世界のサッカーリーグが追悼するなど、
世界中の人が、ドラゴンボールに大きな影響を受けていたことを知りました。

日本語のレッスンでいろんな人と話をして、たくさんの人が日本のアニメをきっかけに日本語の学習をはじめていることも知りました。

改めて、日本人としてうれしい！と思いました。
そして、日本のおもしろいマンガをもっと世界のいろんな人に伝えようと思いました。
