I hope that journaling will help me stop wasting time scrolling on social mediate and media in general. Journaling is basically just writing stuff on paper. You could write about anything and it it doesn't even have to make sense. The important thing is to start writing and a little every day and do this consistently. Velar consonants are sounds you make with the back of your tongue touching the soft palate, also called the velum. It's the fleshy bit at the back of the roof of your mouth, near your uvula (the little dangly thing).

Production:
Raise the back of your tongue up to touch the velum. Airflow is blocked completely for a moment.

Examples in English:
/k/: This is the voiceless velar plosive, the sound at the beginning of "kit" or "cat."
/g/: This is the voiced velar plosive, the sound at the beginning of "game" or the "g" in "going."
/ŋ/: This is the velar nasal, the sound at the end of "sing" or "long." Notice how air can flow out your nose while making this sound.

Other interesting facts:
The sound /k/ is actually one of the most common consonant sound across all human languages! Velar consonants can be influenced by nearby vowels. They might move slightly forward in the mouth (called "fronting") before front vowels like /

i:/ or /ɪ/ or move back (called "retraction") before back vowels like /u/ or /ʊ/.

今日は日本人が意識している、また国としても大切にしている、防災について話します。

みなさんの国では、防災の意識は高いですか？
日本は災害が多い国です。ですので、防災の意識はとても高いと思います。特に2011年の東日本大震災があって、さらに高まったと思います。家には災害時に持っていくための防災グッズなどを用意している人も多いです。

また、9/1は防災の日とされていて、会社や地域などで防災訓練が行われます。他の国ではこういうことはあるんでしょうか。

防災グッズに入れているものはこんな感じです。

		飲料水
		食料
		衛生用品・生理用品
		医薬品
		貴重品
		照明器具
		情報収集ツール
		毛布・寝袋
		災害用調理器具
		簡易トイレ

このような物を入れています。
私の家では、少し服も入れていますね。

水や食べ物はローリングストック、といって、避難グッズの中のものも定期的に食べながら、賞味期限切れにならないように気をつける、ということもよく言われています。

日本の災害発生数のトップ3は、
台風
地震
洪水
だそうです。

台風は毎回、日本列島を通ります。
被害もよく出ます。

私は直接大きな被害にあったことはありません。
ですが、いつあうかわからない、という気持ちはいつもあります。

少し心配になるトピックだったかもしれませんが、日本人は防災の意識は高いので、何かあっても対応する力はあると思います。みなさん、日本に来る時、もし何か起こっても、周りの日本人が助けてくれると思いますので、助けを求めてくださいね！
