みなさん、お元気ですか？

土曜日に妻の家族に会ってきました。

久しぶりに会いました。
妻の弟が結婚するのが決まった時の顔合わせの時以来でした。

おとうさんお義父さんと
おかあさんお義母さんと、
妻の弟と、
弟の奥さんと、その家族の人たちに会いました。

たくさんの家族が来ていて、とてもにぎやかでした。
妻の弟と、その奥さんは、結婚式がしたかったんですが、コロナ禍でできませんでした。

それで、今回、写真の撮影や、家族同士のあいさつの意味も込めて、集まりました。普段なかなか会えないので、とてもいい時間でした。

その後、僕の妻と、妻の両親とご飯を食べに行きました。
店に入る前に、妻とお父さんが話をしていました。

この時におもしろい会話がありました。
少し高い値段だったのがわかったので、妻がお父さんに
いいの？
と聞くと、お父さんは、
もちろん！
と言いました。
どっちの意味かわかりますか？

その後、お父さんは、
もちろん、割り勘で、と言いました。

会計は別々で、という意味ですね。
日本語が全てを詳しく話さないおもしろいところですね。

僕の妻は、いいの？
と言いましたが、これは、
(お金出してもらって) いいの？という意味ですね。

これに対して、お父さんは、
もちろん、と言いました。
普通、この流れだと、
もちろん、(いいよ！)という意味になることが多いですが、

その後に、もちろん、割り勘で！
と言ったので、みんなで笑いました。

日本語は省略して話すことが多いので、お互い、相手の考えていることを読み取りながら話すことが多いですね。
