Thirteen or Thirty? Numbers and Phone Numbers the British Way | Real British English #094
Descrizione
Numbers cause real problems at home: the wrong bus, the wrong price, the wrong phone number. Thirteen and thirty sound close, and on a noisy phone call they're easy to mix up. Many learners also translate directly from their own language and say "one hundred twenty" or "two thousand six", leaving out the little word "and" that British speakers always use.
In this episode:
• Teens or tens?
• Checking a number
• Big numbers with and
• Oh, zero, nought or nil?
• Phone numbers in groups
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
