I came across very interesting comments like science fiction(SF) by a reporter who works for "New Scientist" and would like to share it here. The reporter thinks that people will be able to send human consciousness to Mars through robot's body by Brain Computer Interface(BCI) in their 2030s. BCI is also called "Brain Machine Interface" and it can transmit electrical signals from brain neurons and operate computers and robots just by thinking. BCI has two types which are invasive interfaces and non-invasive ones. The invasive interfaces are more precise even though they put a load on human body because they need to implant electrodes and sensors into a brain by surgery. This technology enables people who can't move their hands and feet to send their message to social media and kick a socker ball just by thinking. Hence, the reporter imagines like this, A woman reached Mars in 2034. In fact, she didn't visit there. She just experienced that through a robot connected to her brain. She operated the robot from her laboratory on Earth to explore Mars, study rocks and build a base. We can feel as if we are on Mars by receiving images and sounds from the robot. I think it is the world like a manga. However, everybody can have opportunity to travel space with affordable cost when the technology comes true in the future.
