I currently use disposable contact lenses for farsightedness during the day. However, I've been getting a bit frustrated because I can't see the letters clearly when trying to read the newspaper in the morning. I thought changing the prescription might help, so I went to consult at a contact lens store attached to an eye clinic last Wednesday. My vision varies between my left and right eyes, possibly due to retinal detachment. After an eye exam, it was clear that my prescription for close-up vision had gotten worse. Even after trying different brands and prescriptions, I couldn't find bifocal contact lenses that would allow me to see both near and far clearly. Since I can't drive with my current vision, I use both contacts and glasses when driving. I've been told to get glasses that I can use with my contacts for reading up close. When I wear only glasses without contacts, the lenses are as thick as the bottom of a milk bottle, making me look much older. It's sad not to have satisfactory vision.
