Good attempt! I changed some of the wording in your first sentence for further clarity. Regarding "and need to be connected" — this also needs clarification. I'm not sure if your foreign friends need to be connected in general. Or do you need to connect with them for some reason? Whatever the reason, it is not clearly stated in writing.
