Why is pant singular?
"And an ironed jean pant."
Why not "And iron jean pants"?

So in fashion magazines, fashion forums online, etc., you'll read 'a bootcut jean' or 'a linen cigarette pant'. Think of it as a kind of jargon specific to a group of people.
