I know, it is really annoying... but you get rid of this by doing the following: 1. Goto "Settings\Privacy\Other Privacy Settings" 2. Uncheck the box : ⊠ Allow teachers to know if I viewed their teacher profile

Look at it as a way to practice your writing... What's wrong with that?

I see the italki “profile view” feature same like Snapchat and Instagram, we can see who viewed our posts. I do chat the students who visited my profile or watched my videos and I got some new long term students from there. My chat is super polite, only 1 sentence and no hard selling. For example, 1 student said she forgot to favourite my profile and 1 student said he’s so shy with his English so didn’t know where to begin the conversation. If you could see past the annoyingness, the feature really helps some people. But I also understand if some teachers messaged you with hard selling.

I agree that this is an annoying feature on Italki. It's also a little creepy that we can see all of the people that viewed our page. I understand your frustration. Have you tried to write to Italki about it?
