Maybe Spain could be the most similar, as spanish people are our neighbours and there's literally no difference from our habits. Culturally speaking and relating to history, maybe something changes, for matter of arts history, which has been conquered by the Arabinian. But also on that level, we are very similar. A part of Italy, for instance Genoa, has been conquered by their art influence. To conclude, I think that short distance could be a great factor in terms of influence and that's one of the point Spain is one of the most similar country to Italy.
