Today was stormy, the sky bleak and eerie. This morning, we spent hours studying the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard from the Book of Matthew—a profoundly eye-opening experience. Reflecting on myself, I often envy those who achieve, or seem to achieve, more with less effort than I expend, especially those wits and talented. Worse still, I’ve furtively cursed this perceived unfairness, even when it stemmed from mere luck or circumstance. This is bad, and I’m determined to change. First, I must stop constantly comparing myself to others, as it only breeds stress and fuels resentment. Instead, I’ll focus on my own growth, every improvement I make is a triumph. Life isn’t a competition; it’s about finding peace within.

First, I must stop constantly comparing myself to others, as it only *breeds /generates /creates stress and fuels resentment. Instead, I’ll focus on my own growth; every improvement (I make) is a triumph. Life isn’t a competition; it’s about finding peace within.
*probably not the right word here, otherwise very well written indeed

Today was stormy, the sky bleak and eerie. This morning, we spent hours studying
the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard from the Book of Matthew—a profoundly
eye-opening experience. Reflecting on myself, I often envy those who achieve, or
seem to achieve, more with less effort than I expend, especially those wits and
talented (not sure what you mean here). Worse still, I’ve furtively cursed this perceived unfairness, even
when it stemmed from mere luck or circumstance. This is bad, and I’m determined
to change. First, I must stop constantly comparing myself to others, as it only
causes stress and fuels/breeds resentment. Instead, I’ll focus on my own growth, every
improvement I make is a triumph. Life isn’t a competition; it’s about finding
peace within.
Very wise.
