Ei Shwe Zin
When can I use either present perfect or present perfect continuous tense?

As Xin says, the difference in those two aspects is minimal with verbs that are sort of in-between stative and dynamic, typically representing what we do with *most of our time*. For example: to study, work, live (in a place), etc.

Dear Ei She Zin, Good question...in simple terms it's very much about the FOCUS of the speaker and the CONTEXT of the conversation. Basically this is the rule: Past simplešŸ‘‰specific finished time. "I went to the supermarket this morning" ( This morning is the focus) Present perfectšŸ‘‰general facts & info related to now. "I've been to the supermarket". ( The focus is now...I have food in the house...not when it happened). To be honest, native speakers often mix these up! šŸ«¢āœŒļø
