Please help me figure a grammar construction outš
Does the sentence seem correctly?
The remarks are the same as they were previously.
May I put the adverb āpreviouslyā before āthey wereā: āThe remarks are the same as previously they were.ā
Or between ātheyā and āwereā, not in the end of sentence, to sound more fluent: āThe remarks are the same as they previously were.ā
And, may I use pronoun āitā referring the noun āremarksā, even though itās plural: āThe remarks are the same as it were previously.ā
orā¦as they were noted previously
orā¦the remarks are as the same as they were noted previously

"The remarks are the same as they previously were."
This one sounds more natural to me.
You cannot use "it" for "remarks" because "remarks" is plural.

As a native English speaker, speaking British English, I would say:
The remarks are the same as THEY (not it) were previously.
The word RemarkS is plural so you have to subsitute it with a plural word THEY not it * (which is singular*)
I hope this helps you š
