Well, in Germany, students have a lot of different holidays. A new school year starts after six weeks of summer holidays, followed by holidays in autumn which last two weeks. Of course, in most cases, we also have Christmas holidays for one and a half week. In February, students have winter holidays. The federal states vary, students will have one or two weeks’ holidays. We have the same holiday regulations about Easter and Pentecost. So, for example, in the federal state I live, we have two-week winter holidays, one week’s Easter and just one day for Pentecost holidays.
