Very well written! I changed the word "malen" to "streichen". In English they both mean "to paint" but in German there is a slight difference: "Malen" refers to a more creative process and is mostly used in the context if creating an artwork or painting "Streichen" refers to painting an object like a door or a chair for example. So there isn't much creativity involved.
