It's a fair day today. After school, Dad reminded me of Mom's upcoming birthday this weekend. I had almost forgotten about it. As a tradition, we don't usually celebrate birthdays formally in our family; I guess everyone hates getting older. But I still need to come up with something special. A card is too clichéd. I'm looking for something not costly, but that is creative, and meaningful. Maybe a cinquain poem written in beautiful handwriting and framed? It’s due the day after tomorrow, I have to sleep on it.
