From then on, Golden Week has enriched people's daily lives and boosted economy through spurring people to travel and consume. Nonetheless, the problems caused by Golden Week, undoubtedly, are increasingly apparent, such as traffic jams, over-crowded scenic spots and increased prices. In 2012, the Chinese government declared that the highways across the country are free during significant holidays including two 7-day holidays the Spring Festival and the National Celebrity, which contributes to the increasing of vehicles outward and people to some degree.
