This topic reminds me of the unforgettable pandemic that occurred a few years ago. At the very beginning, most people around the world stayed home for many weeks. Then I read some news about the change of our environment. One said that he could see the Everest from hundreds of miles aways from his hometown. The sky became clearer than usual as if it had just been washed. So, based on these observations, I understood that human activity was the main reason for environmental pollution. 200 years ago, people were depending on horse riding and walking to travel. The farthest places to which an average person could travel throughout their life might be only located a few miles aways from their hometown. So, they didn’t significantly affect the environment. But everything changed after the Industrial Revolution, especially since cars were invented. So, if we can abandon cars and get back to a simple life like hundreds of years ago, maybe environmental problems won't exist anymore, but can we?
