What kind of headset did you buy or recommend for italki lesson? Just curious, which ones are good in your opinion?

I use a smartphone and tablet, so not much use for a headset on my side. Beats are overpriced for the level of quality they provide. It isn't worth spending hundreds of dollars on a headset, in my opinion. If I were looking for a headset to teach lessons, I would probably go with a standard Logitech headset with noise canceling options. You should be able to find a pair for around $35 USD.

I use my Bose Quiet Comfort 15 and a Samson microphone.
There was never a issue.

Casey,

I can not give you a brand name, but one thing teachers might want to consider is if they would be well served by a noise canceling headphone.

I use independent contractors to answer my business phone from their homes.  We purchase noise canceling headsets that make it so the other party does not hear such things as dogs barking and children talking in the background. They tend to be far more expensive than normal headsets-- the type that I have to purchase to work the best with my particular phone system cost more than $100.  But for some people with a lot of noise in their work environment, I think it is money well spent.

I teach on italki, my headset costs about 10 american dollars. Most headsets are going to be fine, as long as your internet connection is good enough. It depends on what your budget is. Microsoft LX-3000 is really good for instance, it's between 20 and 30 american dollars, but you can find good headsets for less.

I usually use my earbuds with the in-line microphone. But, I do have a Seinnheiser Headset that I use from time to time.
