language experiences
In your opinion, what are the best things to talk about during a language exchange? How do you come in contact with a language partner? I think that finding a language partner is very useful, but I'm confused about the way to do that. What are your experiences?

At first contact I think it is not so difficult. The best thing would be to introduce yourself, talk about learning goals, and so on. I usually like to get know something more about culture, habits and everyday life of my interlocutor.
Personally the most important for me is to overcome some barrier to communicate in foreign language, so I can talk about anything. I think, the perfect situation is when the both sides have some common subjects or hobbies. The good idea can be to found some inspiration in the Internet about subject typical for language exams (eg. healthy life, environmental protection, food, travelling... ) and then practice together.

Try to offer your partner to discuss something, you can choose one topic for the one conversation (a lot of different topics you can find in internet). You will get new words for your vocabulary and the conv will be interesting and funny) ))
i use this and I like it
p.s. sorry for my bad English grammar^^

Hi, Chiara.
In my opinion to find a good language partner is a very difficult thing. There are some reasons for it. First, you have different levels in knowing of languages. Second, you have different interests. Third, you have different goals. Unfortunatelly, I often met people, who didn't really want learning, but only having fun.
As for how to know exactly - is it your type of partner or no - just try it. Send him or her a message and hope for the best:)
Regards,
Sergey.

THe idea is to just add people and ask them if they want to be a language partner, some prefer skype or just chat. And, the best things to talk about? i don't know, it depends, usually is better to take it as a normal conversation. When you met someone you can ask about the culture, why are they learning a language, the things they do/like ,etc. Just a normal conversation but, in another language of course, you don't have to think that much.
Hope it helps!
