So why study? "The more you learn, the more you forget.

The more you forget, the less you know.

So why study?"

It was a puzzle to me when I saw it in the book.

Why study?Please share your answer.

The more you learn, the more you realize how little you actually know.

I think the more you know.....the more you know that you don’t know many things and that you should learn more.

The more you know, the more you loose your certitudes and become tolerant to incertitude. Life is uncertain. The only certitude is that we will die some day.

Say you typically forget half of what you study. For instance, you learn ten new words a day, but you forget 5 of them. After a week, you've learned 70 new words and forgotten 35. A month passes and you've studied 300 new words but only remember 150.

You forget larger amounts as you learn more, but you gain just as much. Even though you've forgotten 150 words at the end of the month, you still know 150 more than you did at the beginning.

When you study you must understand what you study and once you understand something you will never forget it.
