Why do people so attached to an old things?
When you walk on the streets of your city, you can easily guess which house or building is standing here over a 100 years. It has different style and history. So many different people lived there since that time. I am always curious to look what people were doing there 100 years ago, what did they wear and what were talking about.
In the same time, people collect an old furniture, old music and instruments.
Why do we like old things so much? And why people have kind of prejudice against the new things?
Do you need a time to get used to a new things? Or you prefer to use your old watch or cup?
Don't feel shy to write your thoughts here, friends. I like when people express their ideas freely. Have a nice day☆

Hi there:)
In my opinion, we are interested in old things and places because they are curious. As you know, when things get rare their value increases. Moreover, I like to compare them with their current version and they have crossed the path of improvement to become the new version. About the other question, I prefer to use the new version of everything and just collect the old versions and show them to my son/daughter or maybe grandson/daughter in the future:)
have a nice day

It's because of people's resistance to change and to try new things. It's always hard to move from known to unknown. Another reason is inertia; a tendency for a situation to stay the same for a long time.

I always like reading old books, with yellow pages and notes from last readers. These old things already have a history. It seems so familiar and predictable. A new house it is a new life again, everything starts from the very beginning. Maybe that's why..

The older we get, the more we like old things because those, who are getting on can better understand the preciousness of the past.
You are growing, Sarah. We all are.
