The main advantage of caves is the constant temperature, so you dont need a heating in winter or airconditioning in summer. Caves often have fresh water. They're also quite save when there are extreme weather conditions.

As you can see in the former link, there are cage dwellings all around the world but in China there are still 40 million people living in caves (the current Chinese president also lived in a cave before): https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yaodong.

It seems like this question can only be best answered by a troglodyte. I love my cozy comfy cave. I am bad at wall painting, so I just take the print out of those pictures I like and put it on my wall. Looks good, btw!:D I am really bad at hunting as well, so I though of becoming a vegetarian so that I don't have to run behind those wild animals wildly. I gather and cultivate my own food. My cave is earthquake-resistant:)) The one disadvantage is that I can't have more than 5 people in my cave due to its compactness, so whenever you visit me, please don't come en masse, rather in batches of at most 5:D

Advantage: You can draw on the walls and ceiling pictures of animals that will be extinct when explorers discover the images 15,000 years later.

Disadvantage: You won't be around to see the stunned faces of the explorers or to read the scores of theories they have about who drew them and why.

Advantages: hmm... stalactites look nice? And there are more chances that your "Kilroy was here" won't be erased right away and will go down to posterity.

Disadvantages: roof leaks. Neighbours (if you're not a great fan of troglofaunal species). Plus, judging by Neanderthal and cave bear bones, you're very likely to get arthritis after some time of living in a cave.
