How can Arabic go extinct? It is preserved in the Holy Quran and Islam.

I think the Iraqi Christian Aramaic dialects (Syriani and Assyrian) may go extinct, especially now that so many of the people have fled Iraq.

My countries original language is going extinct, 'Irish'.

We learn it at school for 12 years and it's written on signs but we still can't speak it.

In the beginibg we all spoke one language. Later all got mixed up and other languages formed. However I strongly believe the first language was a semitic language, similar to Hebrew. Arabic is also a semitic language. Whether it will disappear or not we all will find out sooner or later. I hope it doesn't. Its a very rich and beautiful language. BTW Samar where did you find out your information?
