How to brush up on a language I have almost forgotten?
Hi there! When I was at University I studied also German in addition to English. But I didn't use it for more than 5 years and I've forgotten almost everything. I really sorry about it because I enjoyed learning German and I would like to remember it and brush up on what I used to know.
Can some of you give me any tips and advice how can I do it and what to start with, because I have no idea how to do it effectively and in short terms.

First of all: You currently don't allow private messages, unless you added someone as friend, so if you want that other users can contact you directly, change your contact permissions in your privacy settings from "friends only" to "anyone". This way others can contact you.

To answer your question: Start listening to German music (e.g. Mark Forster, Wincent Weiß, Adel Tawil, Namika, Joris, Johannes Oerding etc.), watch easy videos in German and read easy texts. And then start to write short texts in German or record yourself speaking it.

Resources on all levels: Learn German with Deutsche Welle: <a href="https://www.dw.com/en/learn-german/s-2469" target="_blank">https://www.dw.com/en/learn-german/s-2469</a>;

Good German youtube channels:

Language diary challenge (on Instagram and Facebook): <a href="http://courses.joyoflanguages.com/languagediarychallenge/" target="_blank">http://courses.joyoflanguages.com/languagediarychallenge/</a>;

We can exchange written messages in German if you like to.
