A noob question...
I think that uncountable nouns go with singular tobe verbs (like is and was), don't they?
(Just asking some noob questions to confirm some English lessons)

Although, this is the wrong section for such questions.
You should use the "answers" section instead for specific language questions.

Yes they do.
Some examples of uncountable nouns in a sentence:
Music IS great.
Money IS hard to manage.
You would NEVER say:
Music ARE great.
Money ARE hard to manage.
The trick to knowing if you should use IS or ARE is this:
Does the noun have a plural form?
Musics, or moneys, are not words, so you would use "IS".
