Fate is an illusion conjured by the conglomeration of the simultaneous actions of six billion people.
When an eerily "coincidental" or convenient turn of events unfolds, we tend to conclude that the only way such a string of events could occur is because it was meant to be or set in place by outside forces, when in reality, over time, the chances of it happening is the same as everything else.
The human mind becomes comfortable and adapts to patterns very easily. In other words, we become very accustomed to our regular routines and experiences, and do not recognize them in the same way we do when something outside of this pattern occurs; but this does not mean it is in any way unnatural (or supernatural) ;)
