A friend for me is someone who knows the real me, or the most part of me, if he / or she may not understand why I would be me.
A friend for me is someone who will show up when I need his/ her help, as I will do for him/her in the same say.
A friend for me is someone who I can talk to.
A friend for me is someone, with whom I have been through many things in life. We have years together.
A friend for me is someone who might yell at me or despise me, yet stay with me rather than just leave me.
A friend for me is someone I appreciate.
1 - do we understand each other? ( both feelings and thoughts )
2 - do we care about each other? Is she/he important to me as I'm to myself ? Do I care about his/her way of life and what would wait for her/him at the end of his/her journey ?
3 - am I ready to sacrifice some opportunities for her/his to just keep her/him on track?
if I the answers for questions above are negative, I don't call it a true friendship. Yes! maybe it's dealing or a bargain or something , but not friendship.
