Today is the 1st of May . In Italy we celebrate the workers' day, so schools and companies are closed. In your country, you celebrate too this holiday?

In USA I think you have a similar holiday on the 1st monday of september...is it right?
Today we are ceebrating my nephew's first communion , so we are going out with relatives...not a barbecue , but nice! I have risked to work, too, because I am a nurse and hospitals never close, of course !
