The only way to improve your spoken English is to well... speak! This is the point of italki! :) Finding an exchange partner who is patient seems like it would be the best way to improve one's speaking ability. I definitely agree with what Bruce and Kai have said. I really enjoy listening to songs when learning a foreign language. Learning songs allows me to improve my vocabulary, get use to speaking, and analyze the grammar. Watching movies is also great, as Kai said.

Simple, by practising your English. Try to use the words you know and say them naturally. I recommend watching English movies or listening to English songs then try and learn new vocabulary by imitating how people talk and of course you look up the words in dictionaries to know the meaning.
