How would you translate this in Chinese? 合気道 is a Japanese word "Aikido" that means the Way of Harmony (do = way, ki = personal energy, ai = love/harmony). In Chinese, it would be hé qì dào. I am just wondering how a Chinese person would read this hanzi or understand it. 合気道

我们叫就叫它“合气道”。这是一种日本武术，运用许多擒拿和反关节技巧。我很想学学。

合 means harmony, 气 is what you call "Chi" or "inner energy",道is the way you do it.  Put them together it means to use  your inner energy harmoniously. Akido is a traditional Japanese martial art, which is all about twisitng and defense, but it dones involve any punch or kick.... Anyway I like this style and I am planning to learn it a few months later.
