Today you are customer and tomorrow you are performer... I thought about this many times but yesterday's situation broke my patience... Well, yesterday my friend (which I haven't seen for ages) and I decided to meet in Japanese restaurant and have a good time. We met, had a good and delicious dinner, pleasant conversation, spoke about our lives, listened to music...and when is left 10 minutes (after I asked the waitress to bring bill) my friend lit a cigarette and was smoking and I was sipping red wine slowly and enjoying by music and relaxing atmosphere. I noticed how two men approached to the next table. It have been seen that they were rich and arrogant, I didn't like them. One man was dressed in brown corduroy suit and other in smart grey suit. The waitress approached them quickly and gave menu. Men ordered something to eat and asked her to bring them russian vodka. The waitress said that in restaurant there was only Japanese rice vodka (sake). Men became angry and displeased. "Do you have other kind of vodka except your "sake"?" - asked man in corduroy suit. "No, only sake" answered waitress. "But you can order gin, whiskey, rum or brandy" - said waitress. Man blushed and shouted "Who are you that tell me what I should to order!!!" The girl blushed and with faltering voice said:"I only offered". Tears frozen in her eyes. Man in grey suit asked his friend calm down and let waitress go. Waitress rushed to the kitchen. My friend was also observing for this situation. Man in corduroy suit lit a cigar and said:"Stupid sheep! Only think! Waitress tells me what should I do! bitch!" My nerves passed, my hand clutched a glass of wine, my heart began to beat more often..I stood up...but my friend clung into my hand and said:"Maryna no, not worth it. You will prove him nothing! Calm down, dear! Beg you!" F...ck! I had the desire to hit him a slap and throw out my wine in his face! I sat, finished my wine. Other waitress brought us bill, we payed, dressed and went...but beside the table of men I stopped, turned around and said:"You know, life is a such thing that today you are customer and tomorrow you are performer and can be on the waitress's place!" and I went away. Men blushed but said nothing. In conclusion I want to say that it doesn't matter who we are: bankers or secretaries, businessmen or sellers...the main thing is to stay HUMAN! And do you know what would we do if there were not waiters, doctors, tutors, sellers, cleaners??? We had to served ourselves...Let's respect other's labor!

Today you are a customer and tomorrow you are performer  [(a servant)   I think you might want to use the word servant here instead of performer.  Performer usually means an actor, as in a play, or perhaps an acrobat or musician. ]...

I have thought about this many times; but yesterday's situation broke exhausted my patience... Well, yesterday my friend,  which whom I haven't seen for ages, and I decided to meet in a Japanese restaurant and have a good time. We met, had a good and delicious dinner, pleasant conversation, spoke about our lives, listened to music...

And 10 minutes after I asked the waitress to bring bill)After dinner my friend lit a cigarette and was smoking.  I was sipping red wine slowly, enjoying the music, and relaxing atmosphere.  About ten minutes after we asked the waitress to bring the bill, we noticed how that two men approached to the table next to ours. It was evident that they were rich and arrogant.  I didn't like them.  One man was dressed in a brown corduroy suit and the other in smart grey suit.  The waitress approached them quickly and gave them their menus.  The men ordered something to eat and asked her to bring them russian vodka. The waitress said that there was only Japanese rice vodka (sake) in the restaurant.  The men became angry and displeased. "Do you have any other kind of vodka except your "sake"?" - asked the man in corduroy suit. "No, only sake" answered the waitress.  "But you can order gin, whiskey, rum or brandy" - said the waitress.  Man blushed and shouted, "Who are you to tell me what I should order?!!!" The girl blushed and with a faltering voice said: "I only offered(suggested)."  Tears frozen in her eyes. The man in the grey suit asked his friend to calm down and let  the waitress go.  The waitress rushed to the kitchen.  My friend was also observing this situation.  The man in the corduroy suit lit a cigar and said: "Stupid sheep! Only think! The waitress tells me what should I do! bitch!"  My nerves passed, my hand clutched a glass of wine, my heart began to beat more rapidly.  I stood up...but my friend clung to my hand and said: "Maryna no, it's not worth it. You will prove nothing to him! Calm down, dear!  I beg you!"  F...ck! I had the desire to slap him and throw my wine in his face!  I sat and finished my wine. The other waitress brought us the bill.  We payed, put on our coats, and left...  But, beside the table of the men, I stopped, turned around, and said: "You know, life is a such thing that today you are a customer and tomorrow you are a performer[?] and can be in the waitress's place!"  And I went away. The men blushed but said nothing.

In conclusion, I want to say that it doesn't matter who we are: bankers or secretaries, businessmen or sellers...the main thing is to stay HUMAN!  And what would we do if there were no waiters, doctors, tutors, sellers, cleaners???  We would have to serve ourselves...  Let's respect one another's labor!

Excellent English and even more excellent story!  You made me very angry with the man in the corduroy suit! (That's saying it mildly.)  I strongly dislike people like that.

I can see that a big problem to learning Russian, when one is an English speaker, and learning English, when one is a Ukrainian/Russian speaker, is learning how to use the articles(grammar) and helping words.  :)

That was an amazing story.  I think at least or maybe both of the men were drunken jerks.  Correct the entry?  OK, you're having trouble with the articles and other of the small common words which are drawn in pictures in the book "keys to words" available at:  http://www.keys2words.info/   My Skype:  brian.madden4

@Alfie: I think everybody of us has ever had such situations. The main thing is to stay human in any case!:))))) Thanks for comment and sharing, Alfie!:))))))))))))

Nice article! Vivid description and detail portrait make your essay quite real and affectionate! I 100 percent agree with what you've done. Once I picked a job as a hot-line operator and when I spoke to a man politely by phone he just said go away and hanged up abruptly, this irritated me but I calmed down and phoned again and told him that if he didn't have the manner to listen to a missy finish her sentence, he was not at all worth my phoning. (Oh and though your passage is generally fabulous, plz take note of your tendency to omit some necessary pronones.)

@Haru: I don't know about his school)))) but I know exactly that he absolutely doesn't know the elementary rules of etiquette and behaved as a pig not as a man...:)))))
