Guys: do you always like fair-skin girls or tan is ok too?

A lot of Chinese guys like girls with fair skin, seems they find that tan girls are not as pretty...like me.

My skin is dark for a Chinese person; I was born this way. So when i was a little girl, I was persona non grata with the classmates, especially the boys, they thought i'm ugly..and i always wanted to have fair skin ,and i got a little self-closing (or I had low self-esteem) at that time. (the way you put it isn't an Americanism)

But now, i like my tan skin, and i think that looks more heathy, and makes me unique. I think it's a beautiful skin color, and i know i'm not ugly at all, so i'm get more confident.

But i'm still confused, i just can't understand why a lot of Chinese guys don't like tan girls.

So guys, where ever you're from, can you tell me which kind of girls do you prefer?

I'd say I don't care :) Because it's such a tiny detail that it doesn't make a difference. There are much more important things in a person :D By the way, tanned skin is in fashion in Russia these days.

Crissy, you are from the sunny Spain. How come you don't have the tan? :D

it is a well built thought line in english. There are a few simple mistakes that anyone from outside UK or USA could do. About your question, do not worry, brazilan people prefer tan people, I guess any tropical country will prefer. My sugestion, be yourself, love yourself, with that in mind, you will be loved.

The Chinese guys like the girls with fair skin. It seems they feel that tan girls are not so much pretty...like me.

My skin is dark, as a Chinese, and I born this way. So when I was a little girl, I was persona non grata with the classmates, especially the boys/ They thought I was ugly..and I always wanted to had fair skin and I got a little self-closing at that time.

But now, I like my tan skin - i think that looks more heathy and more special than orthers. That is a beautiful skin color and I know I'm not ugly at all, so I get more confident now.

But I still confuse, I just can't understand why a lot of Chinese guys don't like tan girls?

[Very good piece. Remember your capitalization of 'I' as a pronoun and leave a space after periods and commas. As for a girl's skin color, that doesn't even come up for consideration, as far as I'm concerned - with one exception - women (or men) who have tried to hard to change the color they were born with.

One historical item. Fair skin used to be valued on western women because rich women didn't have to work in the fields (an thus get tanned). Later, of course, if you were tanned, it meant you had enough money to travel someplace with sun. All very stupid, as far as I'm concerned. Your picture is lovely, by the way. I very seldom say that to females in this site, because I don't want to scare them off by taking it the wrong way. However, in this case, it was appropriate, I think.]
