Memorable trip

Recently, I visited my homeland. 
And there my niece offered me a horseride.
Never before had I ridden a horse myself, not even with an instructor, but she persuaded me. She said (or 'she told me') that horses are docile. And in fact, on the first day all was well.
We went to a holiday house, which is in the forest. The horse took a step, I grew used to it and at the end we went at a gallop. I liked it very much, and on next day we went there again. But this time all was different.
At first, the horses did not want to go. After this, a horsegroom shouted at them, they ran, but as soon as he was out of sight, they ran very fast.
In this moment I understood what horsepower is! I grabbed my seat with all my force, I was shouting: "Woah!" - it was useless. Then I tried to stand up in the stirrups (like in the movies) - the horse began to run even faster. Only then did I think of pulling the reins. The horse moved one step. On this day horses were not tractable - they then stood, then ran.
After I asked the groom why they behaved that way. He was said perhaps they were cold and they wanted to keep warm. In my opinion, much depends on the groom (the last time we had a different groom).
After this ride, I had pain in my arms, I could not bend or straighten them for some time.
But I was happy - I was able to do it!

In this day horses were not tractable - they then stood, then ran.
After I was asked at groom, why they behaved that way, he was said, what perhaps they were cold and they wanted to keep warm. In my opinion, much depends on the groom (in the last time groom was other).
After this ride, I had pain in my arms, I could not bend or straighten its, some time.
