My story about making new friends

I had dinner with my new friend from Korea today. It was much better than I had not expected.

Before I saw him, I heard from a teacher that a Korean exchange student learning Japanese wanted to (have/make) some friends in Japan.
I have two Japanese friends learning Korean, so I went to see him with the my friends.
We three The three of us first arrived at the restaurant and soon he came with his Korean friend.
When I (saw the face of his friend/saw his friend's face), I was very surprised. (I knew the his face!/I knew him!) Actually, the his friend of his is also a friend of mine!
That's why we all made became friends with each other right away. We five The five of us decided to do the language exchange activity on Friday evenings. I believe that we will be exactly really good language partners.
