Holiday: Day One (Proofreading would be appreciated)
Deep in thoughts, attempting to figure out why I was in my current situation, then I was startled by a loud sound – a sound from a woman who did a series of hawking trying to get a slimy substance out from her throat. Ignoring the annoying sound, I carried on with what I was doing. I let my mind drift away but the circumstance didn’t permit me to be lost in another dimension rather I was back to reality by chance passengers scouting for unoccupied seats, and also by the train crew who was offering food to people on board. Two hours past, I suddenly felt a twitch of excitement because an announcement was aired followed by the train doors opening which heightened my feeling. With full of energy, I grabbed my backpack, followed the people and hooray I was out of the railway station. Expect the unexpected; I was immobilized by the huge number of people outside the station. I tried to get a grip to control my nerves to avoid any panic attack from occurring. Struggling to fight claustrophobia, I eyed for wider space and I was lucky to find one. My feet led me to that direction and when I felt better, I composed myself and began to look for my hostel without being unaware of the obstacles I had to face. Finding the hostel was not the easiest task to do. I asked quite a few locals for help but as much as they wanted to help me they couldn't because they don't speak my language and they don't speak my language either. After almost an hour of walking around the area where the hostel is situated, I managed to find my temporary abode. After settling the hostel stuff, I headed to a place where I sipped a big cup of coffee, chilled for a while and observed the surroundings. I was delighted with all the things I saw, hence while I was sitting in the coffee shop, and putting some of my thoughts into writing, the time ticked so fast and I ended the day with a wonderful Italian meal with two glasses of beer. Exhausted yet satisfied, I dozed off.
