Proposal for my college principal (training for CAE exam writing section) From: Guillermo Bilbao, member of Teaching Body To: College Principal Subject: Academic trip The aim of this proposal is to expose my plans for an academic trip to Finland next course explaining why it would be helpful to our college and our students. Furthermore I present the reasons that lead me to ask for financial support in order to make this activity affordable for our Teaching Body. Firstly the proposed activity would take place in Finland and we would visit several Colleges around Helsinki. It would help our Teaching Body to learn from other successful teaching methods attending several theory classes as well as some laboratories. Moreover it would allow us to show our innovative teaching methods in other countries and consequently gain international reputation. Secondly this trip would help the additional useful purpose of knowing how to apply these methods among our students in order to enhance their motivation and improve their academic performance. In spite of the fact that this activity might be expensive, it could be justified in terms of the benefit that our students would receive. Taking all these reasons into account I strongly recommend participating in this activity as well as giving financial support in order to make it affordable for our Teaching Body.
