What characteristics do you think make someone a good parent? Well, this question reminds me of my parents. I think they have some characteristics that all good parents should have. Firstly, they are good listeners. Because of the generation gap, sometimes they don’t understand young people’s world, such as why we are crazy about movie stars, like Brad Pitt or Jackie Chan, or why we are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on Jay Zhou’s or Super Junior’s concert tickets. Being a good listener could help parents break down the wall between parents and children, reduce the conflicts, and make the family more harmonious. Besides that, a good parent should have some hobbies. My mom is good at Ping pang and my dad plays basketball very well. By watching them do these sports, I have learned some important values, such as collective interests come first and practice makes perfect. Sometimes, I join them and we create beautiful memories. That makes me really happy.
