Recommendable places in my hometown My hometown is in Chengdu- the capital of Sichuan province, China. If a friend visited my hometown, I would recommend him/her visiting two places. First, the Chunxi Road may be the place showing the modern and fashion of Chengdu. It is in the center of the city, there are many shops and mall in this road. If my friend went to this road, him/her would come to understand the nowadays of Chengdu. Second, compare to the Xunxi Road, the Kuanzhai lane represent the old times of Chengdu. Kuanzhai lane was composed by three lanes- the broad lane, the narrow lane and the well lane. These lanes were built 300 years ago during Qing dynasty, which would illustrate the history of this city. Today, a lot folk artisans and handicraftsmen are located here to demonstrate and sell their artworks. And folk performers show the local folk art. So it's worth to visit. If my friend disliked spicy food, I would not recommend him/her going to the hotpot restaurant, because most of them are only good at spicy hotpot which is full of chili. Chengdu is a wonderful place, the beauty of which will be found by taste softly.

Recommended places in Chengdu

My hometown is Chengdu- the capital of Sichuan province, China. If a friend visited my hometown, I would recommend that he visits two places.

First, the Chunxi Road is the place that showcases the modernity and fashion of Chengdu. It is in the center of the city. There are many shops and malls on this road. If my friend went to this road, he would come to understand what Chengdu looks like today.

Next, we can compare the Xunxi Road to the Kuanzhai Lane, which represents the old times of Chengdu. Kuanzhai Lane is built 300 years ago during the Qing dynasty, which is composed of three lanes- the broad lane, the narrow lane and the well lane. People want to illustrate the history of Chengdu, so they keep the Kuanzhai Lane looks like it was. Today, a lot folk artisans and handicraftsmen come here to demonstrate and sell their artworks. Additionally folk performers demonstrate the local folk art. So the Kuanzhai Lane is worth a visit. There is another thing I should mention. If my friend disliked spicy food, I would not recommend that he goes to a hotpot restaurant in Chengdu, because most of them are only good at spicy hotpot which is full of chili. Chengdu is a wonderful place, the beauty of which will be found by experience slowly.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion, I rewrote this essay to modify the mistakes.

I still have one question: we don't have dishes in hotpot restaurant in Chengdu.Actually, we only have one pot, and we cook vegetables and meat in that pot by ourselves. So may I say “ Most of the hotpot restaurant are only good at spicy hotpot which is full of chili.”?

My hometown is in Chengdu- the capital of Sichuan province, China. If a friend visited my hometown, I would recommend that he visit two places.
First, the Chunxi Road may be is the place showing  that showcases the modernity and fashion of Chengdu. It is in the center of the city. There are many shops and a mall in [American English: on] this road. If my friend went to this road, him/her he would come to understand what Chengdu is like todaythe nowadays of Chengdu.
Next, we can compare Chunxi Road to Kuanzhai Lane, which represents the old times of Chengdu. Kuanzhai lane was is composed by of three lanes- the broad lane, the narrow lane and the well lane. These lanes were built 300 years ago during the Qing dynasty, which would illustrate the history of this city [?? How does the Qing Dynasty "illustrate the history of the city"?]. Today, a lot folk artisans and handicraftsmen are located have shops here to demonstrate and sell their artworks. And Additionally, folk performers demonstrate the local folk art. So Kuanzhai Lane is worth a visit.
If my friend disliked spicy food, I would not recommend him/her going that he go to the a hotpot restaurant, because most of them are only good at spicy hotpot dishes which is are full of chili.

Chengdu is a wonderful place, the beauty of which will be found by taste softly. [taste softy? I'm not sure what you mean.]

Hey Luobo, good job!

Two tips: aviod using "her/him" or "he/she". Pick either he or she and use it throughout your writing. In informal speech, you can also use "they" if you do not know the gender of the person you are talking about.

Also, the last part about hotpot restaurants was a little confusing. You recommended that your friend go to two places: Kuanzhai Lane and Chunxi Road. Are the restaurants at both places? Or are they somehwhere else?
