Reading Fiction Vs Watching Movies : Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than watching movies. From my point of view, reading fiction is more enjoyable than watching movies. I personally like to read whenever I have free time. Maybe, because reading has been a habit of mine since I was a child. I also like watching movies, but I find reading books such novels and short stories more entertaining. For example, I prefer to read the book which a movie is based on, rather than to watch the movie without having even taken a look at the book. When I read a novel or a story, I always picture the situations in my mind. I picture the characters, the places, the voice of the characters, and I think of things such as ‘If I were this character what would I do?’, ´how would I end the story?’. I think that this helps me a lot to improve my creativity thinking skills, since I would like to write a book one day. Moreover, reading allows yourself to expand your vocabulary and knowledge. The last book I read was ‘One Hundred Years Of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I enjoyed reading this book because I like Garcia Marquez’s stories and the way he narrates them. I do not regret having spent many nights reading this book and understanding it. I could not even think of how a scriptwriter could summarize a book like this. Many movies that have been adapted into movies do not convey all of the details that make the book special. Therefore, in order to better understand the story presented in a book I prefer to read it instead of watching the movie. All in all, I enjoy more reading books that watching movies because I can learn more from reading a book than from watching a movie.

From my point of view, reading fiction is more enjoyable than watching movies. I personally like to read whenever I have free time. Maybe because reading has been a habit of mine since I was a child.
