The business model of sites like Italki I'm recently interested in knowing what cause visitors of this site returning to it after a while and start publishing content on it. As you may know we live in web3 era where content is the king and if you don't find it in a website you probably don't comeback to there in future. You go somewhere on the web find some interesting article or video use the content and find yourself in a better feeling with knowing something and think : " wow I'm now stronger or smarter or blah blah blah" Italki has a great business model that cause people to come back give them some value by finding other users or even let them earn money! It's my favorite ecosystem you give somebody something in return earn something else but why there are too rare sites like Italki that super-users comeback and know that they don't waste their time on there? How we could have more successful mini communes like here?

As I said Italki sphere is so cool , Their team exactly know what customers need or which customer is valuable , how to let people collaborate with each other how buddies interact with themselves . You know only 10 percent of sites like here are profitable but the presence of other 90 percent is necessary to let their business stay up and running also the Simone links are so helpful to know what happened here :)

Actually Shahin I think there are quite a lot of language learning sites on the web but not all of them are as user friendly or successful as italki. As a teacher I have looked for other platforms where I can find potential students. However some of them are really not very good,as they send me students but don't allow me to change the booking date,or chat to the students before I meet them online.Others tell me what teaching material to use,and don't allow me to make my own content.Others still don't handle the booking system or the world time schedule very successfully. And that's why I find italki a good place to hang out as a teacher. What do you think?

Hi Simone, Thanks for your comment and shared links now I'm on the middle of nytimes article You are right there are too many sites out there but only a few of them could achieve great goals! as I know Italki is alive with too much new users every month even you could find too many oldies here I like this sphere I think everything is growing here :)

Hello Shahin. There are many websites like Italki, we have just to discover them. The new model based on collaborative consumptions has been incresing considerably in the last 3-4 years, bringing many benefits to costumers as well as a lot of problems to middle-class workers. Two interesting links to deepen this topic: - An article on the Sharing economy, NYT: http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/06/05/its-not-just-nice-to-share-its-the-future/?_r=0 - An interesting book about risks and disadvantages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Owns_the_Future%3F
