People I encounter (1)
I've been encountering lots of people from around the world in my process of learning English online these days. Initially, I felt surprised and depressed about a variety of the circumstances that I'd met1*as some people mentioned. At that time, I read some words what that some one on italki had written to encourage a girl.
She said," Sometimes you just have to be patient and let it come with time." So, I had been trying to focus on the matter of learning and take advantage of any opportunities to practice expressing myself in English expressing. I further told myself not to be too previous2* about refusing anythings.
<em>1* I think for a 'circumstance' I would prefer 'met with' or 'come up against'</em>
<em>2* I'm not sure what you mean here. </em>
<em>Don't refuse things too early.</em>
<em>Don't have preconceptions about refusing things. </em>
<em> I guess you are being ambiguous on purpose and quite tactfully saying that you have had some nevative experiences.</em>
