It's a matter of knowledge...?!!
Man needs knowledge more than anything else, even sleeping. The human body needs nutrition in order to grow.  However, the human being needs knowledge so as to be more awarded and to be able to find the riddle of the cosmos otherwise, he's going to be even lower than the statue of animals. The aboriginal people in many nations, were such a mess and so miserable (perhaps here put HOW they became that way), and they behave so strangely because they believe in the supernatural and hidden powers that are all around them all of the time. It is kind of an intuitive feeling that everybody has, but the main issue is in the misunderstanding and the ignorance of dealing with these instinctive reactions. They were almost the time even more worst than wild animals.

Note: Your last sentence is unclear as to what you would like to say, making it difficult to make corrections, but I would say that you’re on the right track here. You might finish with something like, “The world’s native people are more misconceived than ever, making them almost as endangered as the animals that they worship.”
