Let It Rain Over Me
Yesterday the weather was so hot that I nearly fainted. Actually, 'hot' is not the proper most fitting word to describe what is the weather is like over here; 'boiling' or 'burning' would be more accurate, I believe. My brain was felt as though it were melting inside my scull, and my face was damp wet with sweat [OR:covered in sweat] although I was wearing a sun hat and applying had applied sunscreen cream on my skin. Worse than that was the humidity; it was about 52%. When I got [more written style=returned] home and untied my hair, I felt a wave of warmth escaped escape from under my hands [this bit sounded a little odd in English]. My hair was hot and sticky. To me, walking in the streets was like being in a living hell... I have never got become accustomed to this weather even though I have been living lived here my whole life. Maybe I do not like the summer because I was born in the winter. The weather used to be better, cooler, and more tolerable. One reason for this terrible weather in the summer is that the major river,[no comma] which runs through the city,[no comma] has almost dried out. You can see Many cracks have become visible in the bed of the river, and there are also bushes of some wild plants wild plants and shrubbery growing there [OR:and wild plants and shrubbery have started growing there]. The volume of water in the river was so huge in the past that the city had even used to experienced many floods [OR: used to experience flooding]. It The flooding has now decreased substantially now due to severe droughts and a lack of proper management. The river is like a the half-dead body of a once wild lion in a desert, waiting for the rain to fall. [OR: The river is like the half-dead body of a once wild lion in the desert, awaiting the rainfall.]
Unlike the summer season, the spring has always been nice and pleasant here. I remember running about the yard of our house last spring. The yard is not very big, but there is enough space in it for me to walk and run. I recall how the cool, lovely air once tempted me to run for two hours. Occasionally, a short drizzle a quick burst of rain along with a cold wind [OR: breeze] made my hair and face wet. I loved it and was not worried about catching a cold because it seldom rains here. I really miss grey clouds, rain, fine spring air, lightening, showers, drizzles, and everything which helps me forget burning scorching summer days [OR:the scorching days of summer]. I am impatiently waiting impatiently for the end of summer and the beginning of the autumn too. Autumn is beautiful just like the rain is.
